My placement officer was finally able to send me an invitation to serve in the Dominican Republic! This ended up being the most stressful part of the whole process. Last week I was invited, then uninvited because someone with a medical condition needed the last spot. I was pretty bummed and didn't think I'd get to go. The country was contacted, and a week later they approved my invitation. Big blue envelope is in the mail, should arrive Monday! I will now begin running around like a mad woman filling out PC paper work, tying up loose ends, packing. Wish me luck!
